Tamara Williams

Tax Partner, PwC

Tamara is an industry tax partner in PwC’s Charlotte, NC office with over 20 years of public accounting experience. She currently serves as the lead tax partner on a variety of large public and privately held multinational companies. Tamara spent close to ten years in PwC’s Washington, DC market, six of which were in PwC’s Washington National Tax Services Practice, working closely with the firm’s top technical specialists and former Congressional, Treasury and IRS officials.
Tamara provides tax consulting services for companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail and consumer, entertainment and media, telecommunications and software development. She specializes in corporate taxation, tax compliance and tax accounting consulting and has significant experience with tax-efficient global structuring, intellectual property and intercompany transaction planning, treasury and cash management, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Tamara was the tax accounting and compliance leader for the Carolinas’ market for six years and served as PwC’s partner leader and liaison for UNC-Chapel Hill for ten years.
Tamara served for three years on the board of and Treasurer for A Child’s Place, an organization dedicated to erasing the impact of homelessness on children and their education. She and her husband, Jon, have three children, Eva, Sophia and Tristan. In her spare time, Tamara enjoys practicing hot yoga and is actively involved with Elevation Church. Prior to joining PwC, Tamara was with Arthur Andersen and received her Master of Accounting, B.S. with distinction in Business Administration and a Minor in Spanish, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a CPA and member of the AICPA.
