Shawn McCann is a Managing Director at Deloitte Tax LLP. He directs all aspects of tax preparation and advice to provide tax related solutions to multinational corporations. With over 30 years of experience, Shawn is well versed in all facets of the corporate tax organization. As a former partner with Arthur Andersen / KPMG, he has a proven record of success in cost containment and revenue retention as well as being recognized for his skill in negotiating significant leases and real estate transactions.
He is a member of the IRS CAP Company Task Force, which explores current issues facing organizations in the Compliance Assurance Program. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs, New Jersey Society of CPAs, and North Carolina Association of CPAs.
As a 2008 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Masters in Business Administration, Shawn is a strong proponent of giving back to his community. He is passionate about sharing his experiences and using his expertise to help guide others to success. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1989 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and is currently a member of the Wake Forest University Accounting Advisory Board and on the Board of Directors of the Wake Forest Booster Club.
