David Youngdahl

Retired Senior Director of Tax

David Youngdahl is the retired global Head of Tax for Qorvo, a public semiconductor company listed on NASDAQ which was formed by the merger of RF Micro Devices and TriQuint Semiconductor in January 2015. He is responsible for accounting for income taxes for US GAAP and local statutory reporting, SOX controls for taxes, corporate income tax, franchise tax, property tax, sales & use tax, VAT, GST, escheat, and expatriate income taxes. Additionally, David participates in due diligence for acquisitions, structuring transactions, integration of acquired companies into Qorvo’s principal operating company structure, legal entity rationalization, customs duties and tariffs, and cash management.
Prior to joining RF Micro Devices in February 2007, David spent 23 years in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and Grant Thornton. During that period, he served public companies, private companies, and individual clients and was a member of the Corporate Transaction team at both accounting firms.
David is a Certified Public Accountant and has passed the North Carolina Bar exam. He is a member of the AICPA and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. David has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
David is currently serving as Board Chair and member of the Executive Committee of the Board for Greensboro Urban Ministry. He has previously served as Treasurer of the Greensboro Children’s Museum, President of the Greensboro Estate Planning Council, a member of the Canterbury School Finance Committee, and on the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro Professional Advisors Committee.
